UPDATE ON WIZ 6

Well, it's going to happen.

The stillborn version of Wiz 6, "The Wizardry Capitalized" will be going up on my web site (still being established) sometime in the next 30 days.

It's taking me longer than expected in part because I've got a little work to do before this thing is ready to post even in an incomplete form. There were also some considerations in getting the web site hosted, but that's another story.

I'll keep everyone posted

Glad you are feeling better, not glad you got to feel bad in the first place. Similar to the other posters(last blog post), I look forward to this as well. I greatly enjoyed both the Wiz series and Mall Purchase Night. They are all dog eared from reading. That says something in my 750 book SF library. With so much to choose from I read Rick Cook(and Terry Pratchett).

Yes! We'll be waiting.

Thanks again, and I wish you get better!

I am a programmer at heart and by trade and love your books. I read alot and I reread your series every few years. I would love to read Wiz 6, in what ever format you would provide! Thanks for the wonderful books and I hope all is well.

I can't tell you how many times over the years I have had to re-buy your books, due to loaning them to friends (because I know they will love them) and never getting them back (because they loved them so much) or just wearing out from re-reading.

I hope you are doing well, and look forward to seeing your website and Wiz and friends again.

(Oh, and anonymous, I am with you on Terry Pratchett, too!)

I haven't read the whole series yet (I'm still on it), but I have found myself laughing at the just improbable luck of Glandurg and his gang, and getting goosebumps wihle Wiz and Moira hug at the end of the first book. Some people consider me a total geek (or freak for some of them), and I'm familiarized with most of the inline jokes' background, too bad there aren't many computer geeks around here to appreciate them. Since I read your first book I got the impression of a writing style improvement and a strong background of computer work from you. Within each title you described a part of the software development process as if you had lived it yourself. Geez, I'd like to see some code of your programs, but if you upload one make sure the bugs don't crawl glowing out of the screen ;). Admirable (and greatly enjoyable) job you've done in these stories, I can't wait for the surprises you were saving for us at the last book (nor the advices for software developers, hidden between lines). I'll take heed and pay a lot more attention at my own programming style, be back from time to time to post and check out for the last book.

I hope and pray for your health to improve, and that you can enjoy SF writing again.
